Sims expands in Central Europe

Just a few days after acquiring Dutch used-equipment broker/reseller Device, British recycling specialist and broker Sims Group has entered the Central Europe market by acquiring German broker Ergotrade for an undisclosed amount. Ergotrade has subsidiaries in Croatia, Hungary and Switzerland. Until now, Sims had subsidiaries in Belgium, the Netherlands and Sweden. To fully cover Europe, Sims still has to find a target in Southern Europe… Ergotrade's director, Peter Bundgard, will become Strategic Account director for Sims Group.
