Avnet reviews its positioning

Danmark : after having being created to host IBM and HP infrastructure activity purchased from Magirus, Avnet Denmark has fully reviewed its positioning in the country : the distributor has quietly dropped IBM hardware and HP products, keeping only IBM Software as value-added offer. Most of its other vendors are high-end components vendors (like Supermicro, Tyan or AMCC/3Ware), aimed at resellers who wish to propose their clients on-measure servers or workstations.

Some cashflow for HL2D

France : French investment fund Siparex Proximity III has invested 600000 euros in telecom VAD HL2D. The company will use this money to finance its future growth and plans to reach a €10m turnover within 3 years.

D-Link strengthens channels with new distributor

India : D-Link India has appointed of S. Kumar Computers as its new distributor for south Gujarat territory. The latter will address D-Link system integrators and resellers across south Gujarat, while Shani Peripherals will be the distributor for north Gujarat region (source : Channel Times India).
