Avnet plucks Akora Turkey for JV
Turkey : Avnet has made a move into the Turkish IT distribution market, forming a joint venture with Sanko Holding Group. Under the terms of the deal VAD giant Avnet will hold a majority stake of 50.01% in the new joint venture, named Avnet Technology Solutions San. ve Tic. A.Ş. and which will include the operations of distributor Akora – an affiliate company of Sanko. The joint venture will become part of the operations of Avnet Technology Solutions EMEA (source : ChannelEMEA Turkey).

United Kingdom : broadliner Target Components has kicked off its plans to develop its memory business by signing a UK distribution agreement with memory maker OCZ.
