Dot Hill extends partnership with Avnet Technology Solutions EMEA
Storage vendor Dot Hill Systems has extended its partnership agreement with multispecialist Avnet Technology Solutions to EMEA region. Under the terms of the agreement, Dot Hill’s high performance, modular enterprise storage platform based on the company’s Rapid Evolution (R/Evolution) architecture will be incorporated into the product portfolio of Avnet Technology Solutions to address the needs of its mid market customers. Avnet will initially focus Dot Hill distribution to France, Germany and the United Kingdom. The partnership should later be extended to other countries.
EAF enters Switzerland
Switzerland : spare parts specialist EAF, an Acal subdisiary, has gone again on expansion as it opened a new subsidiary near Zürich (source : Inside Channels Schweiz).
A new manager for 20:20
France : Pierre-Yvon Méchali, who was Deputy Executive Officer for broadliner Ingram Micro, has left the company to head telephony specialist 20:20 Mobile office in France. He is followed by Tuam Lam, former sales director for Vivanco, who becomes sales manager of the telephony specialist.
Two new distributors for VMware

Bharti Teletech, Logitech in distribution alliance
India : telecom vendor and distributor Bharti Teletech has entered into a distribution alliance with Logitech. Under the alliance, Bharti will sell and distribute an exclusive portfolio of Logitech products to enterprise customers in India. The product range made available through this alliance will not be available at Logitech’s retail outlets, and will be exclusive to Bharti Teletech customers. Logitech will be introducing a variety of products that includes mice, keyboards, webcams, speakers and headsets through Bharti Teletech (source : Channel Times India).

United Kingdom : pan-European, Britain-based prepress specialist Colour Confidence has expanded its offer with Capture One, a Phase One tool. This product offers users all control and tools to produce hi-res pictures.
Xen Micro goes south
Germany : PC component specialist Xen Micro has opened a second sales office in Hattingen, in Westphalia. The goal of this sales office is to better cover the southern part of the country.
