RRC announced as Avaya distributor across 10 markets in Central and Eastern Europe
Telecoms vendor Avaya and multispecialized distributor RRC have signed an agreement certifying RRC as an official Avaya distributor with rights to promote and sell Avaya solutions across ten countries in the Central Independent States (CIS) and Eastern Europe (EE). The agreement extends the reach of Avaya’s Unified Communications offerings in Azerbaijan, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia as well as Ukraine.
New brands and office for BeIP
France : network and security VAD BeIP has opened a new office in La Ciotat, near Marseille, to better cover the southern part of the country. The company has also signed distribution partnerships with gateway vendor Icomera and RFID and wifi/RFID asset management vendor Aeroscout. Finally, it became also one the two Alvarion training centers in the country.
New finance director for Competec
Switzerland : Martin Lorenz becomes the new CFO of Competec Group, the holding controlling distributors Alltron AG, Wyscha Computer AG, Brack Electronics AG and Phonet Suisse SA. The CFO position has been created. Margrit Poltera, who was previously in charge of both finances and Personal, will from now on focus on Human Resources.

Microsoft takes on Tanzanian company as local distributor
Ethiopia : Red Dot Distribution, a Tanzanian based company with its home office in Dar-es-Salaam, last week was authorized by Microsoft to become a distributor of the latter’s products in Ethiopia, in addition to Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and Djibouti. Red Dot replaces Alta Computec as Microsoft’s agent in Ethiopia, without further comment from Microsoft. Red Dot plans to open a new sales office and warehouse in Ethiopia before June (source : Addis Fortune Ethiopia).
