Aptec launches TDME in Pakistan after Cisco deal

Pakistan : Middle East IT distributor Aptec Holdings has launched operations in Pakistan under its TDME brand where it plans to serve the reseller channel through sales offices in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. Its entrance into the Pakistani market, where it intends to primarily focus on the SMB segment, has been facilitated by an authorised contract with networking vendor Cisco. TDME Pakistan will be headquartered out of its Karachi office and managed by Rizwan Ahmed. In addition to Cisco, TDME Pakistan will carry products from Belkin, ISS, McAfee, NetApp and Symantec (source : ITP Middle East).

Sharp commits to AV channel

United Kingdom : Sharp has moved its commerical a-v business away from the IT channel to specialist AV distributors. Midwich will be among the major beneficiaries of this decision, as Sharp has decided to use its subsidiaries True Colours Distribution to address the digital signage and AV integration markets, and Owl Visual Systems to concentrate on the leisure AV channel (source : AV Interactive United Kingdom).

Ingram invests in digital signage

France : broadliner Ingram Micro has signed a distribution partnership with digital signage vendor Innes, whose software tool enables users to prepare very easily ready-to-use digital signage content.
