Nedis acquires Nemo and Amarina

France : the French subsidiary of Dutch cabling and accessories specialist Nedis has acquired for an undisclosed amount its French competitor Nemo and its own brand Amarina. This is for Nemo the best way to grow internationally and be better considered by major retailers, which are its main clients. Both names and brands will be kept for time being, Raphaël Panozzo being the new manager of Nantes office while his colleague Thierry Guérin will keep in charge the Paris office. Yvon Billy, the manager of Nemo, will stay in the company until 2010 and his retirement. The new entity employs nearly 70 people (28 for Nemo and 40 for Nedis) and reaches a turnover of about €23m in 2008 (€1.04m for Amarina, €9.90m for Nemo and €11.84m for Nedis).

Epson alliance drives printer range

South Africa : Epson SA has partnered with JustPoS Technologies, a specialist importer and distributor of touchscreen-based systems for the South African hospitality sector. The agreement will see JustPoS serving as an Epson Express Centre, and stocking the entire range of Epson point-of-sale (POS) products aimed at the hospitality industry (source : ITWeb South Africa).

Milestone to distribute Kensington

India : game and software specialist Milestone Interactive Group has tied up with Kensington for the distribution of its entire range of products in the country. The distributor will make available the entire range of Kensington’s products. The products can be classified in five categories: Power IT, Connect IT, Control IT, Play IT and Carry IT. Power IT includes a range of universal notebook power adapters and accessories. Connect IT includes multi-view monitor adapters, docking solutions, and USB hubs. Control IT includes a mouse range, presentation controllers, keyboards, and trackballs. Microsoft server for Ecom

Germany : PC component specialist Ecom has expanded its Microsoft offering with Server products from the Redmond firm. Therefore, it enables its resellers to build up ready-to-use servers built-up around Microsoft technologies (source : IT-Business Deutschland).

United Kingdom : telephony distributor 20:20 Mobile signs exclusive deal to sell UMU Mobile security products to its dealer base.
