Three new distributors for IDSBox
French remote backup appliance vendor IDSBox has expanded its distribution network in Europe by signing partnerships with French VAD storage ADStore, British network specialist Square 1 and German reseller Lasa, which signed an exclusive agreement for Saarland region and which will act there both as a reseller and a distributor (but will not be added to ITdistri database until distribution business gets more significant).
Cyberstar, WatchGuard sign pan-India pact

Logicom powers up as APC Distributor for the Middle East
Middle East : multispecialist Logicom has signed a distribution agreement with American Power Conversion (APC) by Schneider Electric for the Middle East region, in part of its ongoing expansion drive to build a comprehensive offering of products and services from a host of global technology firms. The current tie-up will cover all major APC products and services, and will enable Logicom to distribute APC products across Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Yemen through its regional office in Dubai.

A saviour for COS Distribution
Germany : insolvent since a few weeks, because of the inability of its Russian investor and new owner, broadliner COS Distribution has found a saviour, thanks to competitor Devil. COS Distribution will continue as an independant company, with its own sales, purchasing, marketing, accounting, IT, web and credit control departments. Logistics and services are excluded, and will be taken in charge by Devil, through its Braunschweig warehouse. COS subsidiary retailer Avitos has not been acquired by Devil. The idea behind this acquisition is for Devil to lower its freight costs by leveraging them with COS. In order to limit competition between the two structures, Devil plans to fine-tune the offer of each company.
