Dell choses Disposelec
France : Dell has signed its first distributor in the country. It is not any major broadliner like Tech Data or Ingram (whose results are lower than expected by Dell in the US) but middle-sized, regional broadliner Disposelec. Disposelec will focus on a few Dell retail desktops and notebooks, and give the Texan vendor a better coverage of smaller resellers in Western and Southern France.

A Typhoon soon back in the distribution

Previously owned by Anubis, which went bankrupt in 2007, Typhoon brand will be back under PC Live Distribution umbrella. United Kingdom : multispecialist Avnet has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all the business of the UK-based distributor Spectre (Communications) Ltd. Spectre is a specialist distributor bringing communications and wireless solutions to its customers. With immediate effect, the former Spectre wireless activities will be integrated into the Avnet Memec UK business.
