Computers Unlimited to expand in Europe
United Kingdom : Mac and retail specialist Computers Unlimited has unveiled hints of plans to gain a further foothold on continental Europe. Currently, the company owns subsidiaries in France and Spain. It had a few years ago a salesman for Germany, but stopped working with him. German market in indeed tough for CU, as competitor Comline is too big to be challenged locally. Thus, an expansion towards Benelux is more plausible.
Two new product managers for Devil

Turkey partners with CeBIT
Germany : after France, California and Spain, Turkey is the next partnering country for CeBIT 2011. Turkey is not an unknown country for Deutsche Messe, as the company already organizes since some years a Eurasia edition of CeBIT in Istanbul, next edition taking place in October 2010. CeBIT Bilişim Eurasia is a successful event, bringing visitors from 79 countries and exhibitors from 22 countries. Last edition gathered 146 000 visitors in just 5 days. Average economic growth in the Eurasian region is 8.2%, on which Deutsche Messe indeniably plans to leverage on next year…

Zycko and Talari Networks partner across Europe
Value-added distributor Zycko has signed a new distribution partnership with corporate WAN virtualisation specialist Talari Networks. This collaboration will distinguish Zycko as Talari Networks’ first distributor in Europe, and will ensure that Zycko’s resellers have access to the company’s Adaptive Private Networking Technology (APN). Talari’s networking solutions are part of a new class of product developed to deliver a new approach to building corporate WANs; increasing bandwidth by using additional network resources from various Internet Service Providers (ISPs), including both high-speed internet connections at customers’ central locations and broadband connections (DSL, cable where available) at branch locations. It thus provides reliable, cost-effective support for business tools such as VoIP and videoconferencing, allowing organisations to take advantage of the affordability of broadband without foregoing business quality, reliability or availability. Currently, partnership between Talari and Zycko is effective in France and the United Kingdom. Other countries should follow as soon as local teams are trained on Talari products.
Bell gets supported with Aavara
Multispecialist Bell Micro has expanded its digital signage portfolio with Aavara HDMI splitters, switchers, extenders, matrixes and cables as well as wall supports. This partnership is pan-european, which means Aavara products are available through Bell offices in Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. It although does not cover its Irish office.

Almasa teams up with e-mail software vendor
Middle East : broadliner Almasa, which also owns offices in Kuwait and Saudia Arabia, has added another niche software vendor to its stable in the form of Waterford Technologies, a provider of e-mail, file archiving and management solutions. The agreement authorises Almasa to distribute Waterford’s range of MailMeter software products across the Middle East and Africa, although Almasa should be more efficient in pushing Waterford solutions in Middle East only (source : ITP Middle East).
Another distributor for Dell
France : after Intervalle a few weeks ago, Dell has further expanded its local distributor network with PC component and peripheral specialist PCA France. The goal of this deal is to help Dell better reach a network of smaller resellers, usually more oriented on white brand PCs.
