Sysob signs with FatPipe
German network and security VAD Sysob has signed a european-wide distribution, marketing and support partnership with WAN, LAN and VPN optimisation vendor FatPipe Networks. Beside its German headquarters (which will cover move European countries), Sysob will also push FatPipe Networks products through its offices in Austria and Switzerland.
Daisy Distribution launches unified comms push
United Kingdom : telephony specialist Daisy Distribution is offering to buy out the customer bases of dealers as part of a push into unified comms. The distributor is targeting those with existing landline bases or those who seek to add new fixed-line and mobile ranges to their portfolios. The options on offer include base buy-outs, or a transition model to move a dealer’s base to Daisy from its existing provider. Daisy plans to offer a commercial package depending on a dealer’s individual profile but claimed most would continue to manage their customer base within a mobile revenue share model (source : Mobile Today United Kingdom).

Westcon opens its e-store
South Africa : network and security VAD Westcon has opened its online e-commerce store, dubbed Westcon Online Store, as a part of its cloud services strategy. The first phase of this store will allow Kaspersky resellers to place and track orders as well as transact directly with the distributor online, thanks to a direct integration with Kaspersky’s licensing engine in Russia. The purchases can use their credit cards to make purchases without having to apply for additional lines of credit from their banks, and the licences are activated as soon as the payments are processed. In a second phase of the project, the distributor plans a full integration of the system with its warehousing and logistics systems.
