Huawei unveils partnership with Neoteric
2012-02-01 India : Chinese vendor Huawei has appointed broadliner Neoteric as official distributor for its LAN connectivity, network security, cloud computing, unified communications, video conferencing and tele-presence, video surveillance, VDI, and data center solutions.

Changes in Acer’s distribution
2011-05-10 India : Acer India has re-aligned its distribution to adapt to the changing dynamics of the market over the past six months. In December it re-aligned its consumer desktop distribution by assigning exclusivity for the south zone to Redington; the rest of India will be handled by Ingram Micro. Acer has also signed on Cyberstar to exclusively stock and sell servers. Neoteric has been signed on to exclusively sell Acer-branded AMD platform notebooks and netbooks. There will be no immediate changes for other product lines. Mainstream notebooks will continue to be sold through Ingram Micro, Supertron, Redington and Salora. Ingram Micro, Supertron and Salora will continue with the distribution of monitors while Supertron will exclusively manage eMachines (source : Computer Reseller News India).
Kingston to restructure distribution
2011-03-08 India : memory products vendor Kingston revamped its distribution structure for its flash products. The company has reduced its distribution partners from seven to five and will implement the changes from April 2011. Kingston with a market share of 43 percent in flash drives is looking at expanding its market share and reach in the country. The company is now appointing product specific distributors. It has added a new distributor - multispecialist Avnet India - that will work along with existing distributors Compuage Infocom, HCL Infosystems and ShreePati Computech to drive Kingston’s flash drives, along with regional distributor Sunrise Infosolutions. Transtek has been dropped from flash drive distribution. In SSD segment, Neoteric will now on distribute only SSDNow, Kingston’s range of the SSD drives.
