Daisy Distribution launches unified comms push
2012-05-21
United Kingdom : telephony specialist Daisy Distribution is offering to buy out the customer bases of dealers as part of a push into unified comms. The distributor is targeting those with existing landline bases or those who seek to add new fixed-line and mobile ranges to their portfolios. The options on offer include base buy-outs, or a transition model to move a dealer's base to Daisy from its existing provider. Daisy plans to offer a commercial package depending on a dealer's individual profile but claimed most would continue to manage their customer base within a mobile revenue share model (source : Mobile Today United Kingdom).

Daisy Distribution launches its own MasterCard
2011-12-19
United Kingdom : mobile airtime specialist Daisy Distribution has launched its own Daisy Distribution MasterCard, as part of its incentive program. This card will allow it to award its partners with monetary bonuses for performance against product and service-based incentives. The card can be used tactically to support individual partner initiatives and also to drive incremental business across some of the lower value products the distributor offers. It can also use it as part of its bigger incentives which involve promoting a product across the channel as a whole. Designed and approved by MasterCard, the cards can be credited with a maximum of €575 (£500), which partners can use to buy kits from Daisy Distribution, invest in their own businesses for promotions, or keep to spend on personal items, with it simply being disposed of once the credit has been spent.

Daisy buys £3.6m Fone Logistics
2010-06-18
United Kingdom : telecom service provider Daisy Group has acquired the entire issued share capital of Northumberland-based distributor Fone Logistics for a cash consideration of €4.1 million. Daisy said Fone Logistics will be managed by Anglia Telecom Centres (formerly Redstone Distribution) going forward. Daisy said it has identified certain areas of the business which are to be discontinued or hived out at completion. Former Fone Logistics MD Ian Gillespie and financial director Michael Fitzpatrick will head up dealership Activ Telecom’s 3 business as, prior to the sale, dealer Northumberland-based Activ Telecom bought the 3 business from Fone Logistics for an undisclosed sum.
