Esquire to launch its low-cost tablets
2012-04-27 South Africa : broadliner Esquire Technologies is to launch its own range of tablet PCs under the brand name Geeko. Branded Geeko, the tablets, which are aimed at the business, home and educational markets, will be launched in June. The entry-level unit will retail for under €200, while the business-focused unit will come in at under €300.
Esquire Technologies focuses on gaming market
2012-04-06 South Africa : broadlienr Esquire Technologies has unveiled a distribution agreement with California-based OCZ Technology, a vendor of solid state drives (SSD). Under the terms of the agreement, Esquire Technologies will distribute OCZ's products to its reseller channels throughout its branches in South Africa - and also see to it that these products are on the Virtual Resellers Network (VRN) Web sites of participating resellers. This signing with OCZ Technology comes after similar agreements were struck with leading companies such as Razor, Sapphire and Asus. The goal for Esquire is to answer more efficiently to the boom of the the gaming industry, a target the distributor plans to focus aggressively in the coming months through its gaming division – which started from scratch in March last year and already accounts for 10% of it turnover.
Esquire launches its virtual reseller network
2012-01-27 South Africa : broadliner Esquire has launched a virtual reseller network (VRN). The company hopes to link 2000 of its estimated 12000 resellers by the end of 2012. The VRN allows resellers to get virtual access to the entire Esquire stockholding, which is updated directly to the reseller's Web site at regular intervals – often as frequently as every three minutes. Currently, up to 5 resellers sign in every day, which allow Esquire to be confident with its goal of 2000 resellers signes within a year.
Esquire pumps up the volume with SonicGear
2011-10-31 South Africa : broadliner Esquire Technologies has acquired the distribution rights for southern Africa from Singapore-based vendor SonicGear Lab, which designs, develops and manufactures a range of audio cabling and peripherals.
