Bytes Document Solutions, Linxia agreement increases Phaser sales

Mauritius : South Africa-based Bytes Document Solutions, which is Xerox distributor to 26 African countries, has appointed Mauritius broadliner Linxia to distribute its range of Xerox multifunction devices (MFDs) and printers in the Republic of Mauritius and surrounding Indian Ocean islands (Comores, Madagascar, Réunion and Seychelles - which are all mostly French speaking countries). The agreement is an extension of an existing partnership since Harel Mallac Group, which established Linxia as its specialist channel business, has represented Xerox equipment in the region for more than 50 years. "We have extended our partnership to Linxia's 300 channel partners, and we are supporting them out of South Africa, with a regional Xerox reseller programme," says Olivier Merven, regional manager for Africa in the Xerox division at Bytes Document Solutions.
Annex gains Xerox distribution

South Africa : Bytes Document Solutions, authorised Xerox distributor to 27 sub-Saharan countries, has appointed Annex Distribution as a Xerox office products equipment distributor. The deal will see Annex roll the Xerox office products equipment range out to its extensive reseller base nationally.
Bytes division gets new CEO

South Africa : Hennie du Plessis has been appointed CEO of Bytes Document Solutions, a division of Bytes Technology Group (BTG). He replaced previous MD Rob Abraham, who is now CEO of BTG. Due to restructuring of the company, Du Plessis takes over as CEO rather than MD. He now has three MDs who report to him, each heading up an autonomous business that was created by the company (source : IT Web South Africa).
Bytes Document Solutions appoints Tanzanian distributor

Tanzania : Bytes Document Solutions, authorised distributor of Xerox products and solutions to 24 African countries, has appointed Service and Computer Industries (SCI) Tanzania as a distributor. The company, which launched its Xerox portfolio in May, will initially target the financial services industry, telecoms, and print markets with the Xerox range of production machines.
Xerox enters retail market with Game store deal

South Africa : Bytes Document Solutions, the authorised distributor of Xerox products and solutions to 24 African countries, has struck a deal with Massmart to sell Xerox printers through Game stores. With 74 stores in South Africa and 12 elsewhere in Africa, Game stores will sell Xerox's range of small office home office laser printers, colour laser printers, multifunction printers and colour multifunction printers.
