Track gets Linksys distribution for GCC
2010-03-12 Middle East : broadliner Track Distribution has expanded its distribution agreement with Linksys to include Gulf Region. Track was an authorized distributor for Linksys previously for the UAE, Africa, Pakistan, Yemen and Levant Market. Track plans to expand the current Channel and recruit new value added partners for Linksys in these countries to further gain market share.
Aptec subsidiary gains Cisco rights in KSA
2010-01-08 Saudi Arabia : Cisco has widened its channel supply chain in Saudi Arabia by awarding authorised distribution rights to Track Distribution, a subsidiary of Aptec Holdings. Speculation that the networking vendor was looking to appoint an additional distributor in KSA have been rife for some time given the scale of the market. Local distribution sales are currently managed by Al Jammaz and Logicom. Track says it will be able to provide Cisco with comprehensive coverage of the Saudi reseller channel as it operates offices and warehouses in Riyadh, Jeddah and Khobar. The partnership means Track now has Cisco rights for the entire Gulf region, as it is already an official distributor for the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, as well as Yemen, Pakistan and Afghanistan (source : ITP Middle East).
Aptec launches TDME in Pakistan after Cisco deal
2009-05-18 Pakistan : Middle East IT distributor Aptec Holdings has launched operations in Pakistan under its TDME brand where it plans to serve the reseller channel through sales offices in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. Its entrance into the Pakistani market, where it intends to primarily focus on the SMB segment, has been facilitated by an authorised contract with networking vendor Cisco. TDME Pakistan will be headquartered out of its Karachi office and managed by Rizwan Ahmed. In addition to Cisco, TDME Pakistan will carry products from Belkin, ISS, McAfee, NetApp and Symantec (source : ITP Middle East).
