VIP Computers enters ME market
2011-01-06 Middle East : British broadliner VIP Computers, which already owns offices in Romania, Spain, Taiwan and the Netherlands, has extended its reach to the Middle East, by opening a sales office in Dubai and hired the former head of EZY Infotech (previously Esys) in Europe, Harprit Singh. The Dubai-based office will cover the whole MEA region, and it is yet unknown which brands the distributor will carry over there.
eSys and Seagate end three-year dispute
2010-01-11
A three-year legal dispute between IT distributor eSys and hard drive vendor Seagate has finally reached an end after both companies agreed to settle all claims against one another with neither party admitting liability. Both companies said the terms of the out-of-court agreement would remain confidential. In a press release, eSys announces it can now embark on its growth plans without any distractions.
Unfortunately, Easys did not escape unscathed from this battle with Seagate : most of its assets have been recently acquired by EZY Infotech. EZY Infotech owners, among which is Niraj Goel, the brother of Esys' owner Vikas Goel, are different than Esys owners, according to Vinod Kumar, whom we interviewed. But we could not check this in all countries, as the company is present in some countries which are more difficult to check than others (Seychelles, Belize, Marshall Islands, etc.). Whatever, the company is therefore still present in EMEA region, but under EZY Infotech name and not any more under Esys name, in Croatia, Dubai, Germany, India, Poland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
Esys leaves Poland
2009-03-19 Poland : after France (where the distributor had only a local salesman) and Belgium, Singapore-based Esys has seemingly closed its Polish office. Claims for warranty have to be redirected to Dutch Ezy Infotech, whose address is, strangely enough, exactly the same as Esys, even though our contacts in the company assured us that there was no link between both companies, but declined to tell us more. Beside this, Esys websites are still not responding, since more than 3 months. Yet, and until further notice, Esys officially still owns subsidiaries in Croatia, Dubai, Germany, India, Italy, Russia and Turkey. We kindly open our columns to Esys official speakers, for them to explain our readers the strategy of their company in Europe and their exact links with Ezy (source : Computer Reseller News Polska).
