UFP gets into accessories
2010-01-05 Spain : historically specialized in print supplies, UFP is trying to extend its reach to PC accessories and small peripherals by signing a distribution partnership with local vendor Unykach. Such a move was done by UFP's French home office a few years ago, with a limited success which brought it back to its core business (source : Channel Insider España).
A new owner for Adimpo
2009-08-05 Spain : supply specialist Adimpo has been acquired by its local competitor Unipapel for €45.5m. The new company, which will weight more than €828m (207,2 for Unipapel and 621,3 for Adimpo), claims to be the new EMEA leader in supply distribution (present in Andorra, France, Germany, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom) in front of French UFP International (present in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom), which announced a turnover of €776m in 2007 but claims to reach €1b in 2009, which remains to be confirmed.
