Unipapel focuses on distribution
2011-02-03 Spain : supply specialist Unipapel, which owns Adimpo, has decided to get out of supply retailing by selling its 50% participation in Ofiservice to French Lyreco for €68.75m. The goal is to use this money to strengthen in supply distribution in Europe : the company should thus expand to other countries in the region. Through Adimpo, it is already present in France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
A new owner for Adimpo
2009-08-05 Spain : supply specialist Adimpo has been acquired by its local competitor Unipapel for €45.5m. The new company, which will weight more than €828m (207,2 for Unipapel and 621,3 for Adimpo), claims to be the new EMEA leader in supply distribution (present in Andorra, France, Germany, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom) in front of French UFP International (present in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom), which announced a turnover of €776m in 2007 but claims to reach €1b in 2009, which remains to be confirmed.
