SweDeltaco gets a director
2011-12-14 Sweden : Jan Ednertz has been appointed as new managing director by broadliner SweDeltaco. Jan has a longtime experience in IT distribution, with companies like D-Link, Intel or Tech Data. Lastly, he was working as managing director of the Djurgården hockey club as well as channel management consultant.
WireSlim flattens the cables
2011-03-04 Distree XXL : like last year, French vendor HTI Group was among the most innovative vendors on Distree XXL. But for the first time, its WireSlim products were effectively available. WireSlim cables are ultra-flat cables which can be glued on the wall and painted over, to become fully invisible. A must have in any home-cinema installation, when the woman acceptance factor constraint is high. WireSlim cables can accommodate several types of signal : antenna, power, VGA, HDMI, Ethernet, USB, Firewire, RCA, phone and SVHS. Some distributors has already be signed, like MCL SAMAR in France, Eltra in Belux or Deltaco in Denmark, Finland and Sweden. HTI also works with satellite tuner vendor Metronic to cover general or specialised retailers in France, like FNAC, Surcouf, Leroy Merlin, Conforama, Auchan or Carrefour. The company also has offices in Middle East and India for local markets.
On Distree XXL, the company is mainly looking for distributors in Western Europe, Romania and Poland (which are both major markets for the vendor). “We are looking for distributors which are able to push the product through marketing funds and initiatives, as well as able to work with retailers (either hypermarkets, specialised retailers or DIY specialists)”, explained to ITdistri Suthan Atputharajah, managing director of HTI Group.
Deltaco to be listed
2011-01-10 Scandinavia : peripheral, networking and storage specialist Deltaco, which owns offices in Denmark, Finland and Sweden, has unveiled plans to be listed on Stockholm stock-exchange. Its owner since 2005, IT group Into.I, has decided this move to focus on its core IAR business while leaving room for Deltaco to further grow more easily.

2010-09-16 Sweden : broadliner's Deltaco founder Siamak Alian has decided to step down to purchase manager of the company, leaving his place to his colleague Ali Motazedi. The company has also hired Claes Eriksson as COO, in order to start a new growth strategy (source : IT24 Sverige).
