Imago signs exclusive international partnership with Genee World
2012-04-19
IP video VAD Imago Group has signed a new international distribution partnership with Genee World, a developer of ICT and AV solutions including visualisers, audience response systems, interactive whiteboards and touchscreens. The partnership enables Imago to add to its growing portfolio of education and training tools, and will particularly complement Luidia’s interactive eBeam technology. Amongst its most popular selling products are Genee Vision visualisers, interactive whiteboards and LCD touchscreens, though Genee also develops a broad range of projectors and digital signage systems. Imago will be marketing the Genee World range to its established network of resellers in the countries where it has subsidiaries, Belgium, China, France, the Netherlands, South Africa, Spain and the United Kingdom. In addition Imago will market to its existing dealer channels in most other Northern, Central and Eastern European territories as well as those in the Middle East.

Imago to (Video)Meet Deutsche Telekom
2012-03-01
United Kingdom : IP video VAD Imago Group has unveiled an agreement with Deutsche Telekom to sell VideoMeet, its interoperable video conferencing service. VideoMeet provides the means for moving video conferencing away from the company network and into the Cloud, making it more accessible for a broader range of corporate users. The service can be deployed independently, or via existing video conferencing technology. It will interconnect any kind of video conferencing system from established providers such as Polycom and Cisco through to desktop endpoints such as Skype, Google Video Chat and Microsoft Link. Users subscribe to the VideoMeet service which allows them to use a web interface to invite participants by email, regardless of the system they are using. The only requirement is an Internet connection. Invited participants will be able to join the call for free, as the moderator is the only party charged for the conference.

Polycom multiplies alliances and programs
2011-08-30
While it did not want to comment the impact of the acquisition of the video-conference division of HP over its distributor network, Polycom has unveiled its new partner program and another technology alliance.

Dubbed Choice Program, the new partner program aims to push its resellers to invest more in its technologies (A/V, industry specialization, Microsoft unified communications, VoIP, etc.). As a reward, its certified channel gets higher earnings. The goal is to strengthen the skills and commitment of its partners, to face more efficiently Cisco-Tandberg competition. This new partner program leans obviously on its distributors (organized by major specialties, such as network infrastructure, telephony or VoIP - that is Arrow ECS Network and Security, Itancia and Imago in France for example), which may become training centers if they wish.

Beside its POCN (Polycom Open Collaboration Network) alliance, launched last year ago with 8 partners around the Lync unified communications from Microsoft, Polycom plans to further simplify the interoperability of videoconferencing infrastructures with OVCC (Open Visual Communication Consortium). Like POCN, OVCC purpose is to be able to use any videoconferencing solution without having to worry about the infrastructure of the other users. A bit like the traditional telephony, since the dawn of time…
