ALSO launches WePrintSmarter

Broadliner ALSO has launched WePrintSmarter, a new online print marketplace to help resellers. The first service to be offered on the platform will be SmartSupplies, a fully automated print supplies re-ordering service. The system aims to give resellers a continuous flow of orders without customers having to manually re-book or know the required part numbers. ALSO CEO Gustavo Möller-Hergt said: "with this initiative ALSO is further growing its extensive services portfolio. The innovative WePrintSmarter services have a modular build-up, helping more and more resellers and vendors to optimise the management of their customers' printing needs." WePrintSmarter is available in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland.

ALSO continues international expansion of cloud marketplace platform

Swiss broadliner ALSO and Intcomex have signed a strategic partnership to bring a wide range of local and global vertical-focused cloud services to SMB and Enterprise customers in Latin America in 2017. Both companies are joining forces to make the ALSO Cloud Marketplace Platform as a Service (PaaS) available to more than 50,000 Intcomexs' channel partners in 14 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, with plans to expand further in the region. ALSO enables Intcomex to expand their Software as a Service (SaaS) catalogue to their customers. Spearheaded by Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider program (CSP), the platform assists local vertical-focused ISVs to expand towards channels.

Combined with our strong presence in Europe and our partnerships in the UK and Ireland, the Middle-East and Southeast Asia, through the partnership with Intcomex the ALSO Cloud Marketplace platform is now reaching nearly 50 countries globally", said Gustavo Möller-Hergt, CEO of ALSO Holding AG. In October 2016, ALSO agreed on a strategic partnership with Innovix Distribution to make the ALSO Cloud Marketplace available to 5,500 of Innovix' channel partners starting in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong, with plans to expand further in the region. Earlier in June the same year, ALSO signed a strategic partnership with Logicom to provide the marketplace platform to more than 10,000 Logicom partners in 13 countries in Southern Europe and the Middle East, with plans to expand further in the region. In December 2015, ALSO and Westcoast agreed on a strategic cooperation to bring the ALSO Cloud Marketplace platform to Westcoast customers in Ireland and the United Kingdom.

DACH: mobile telephony specialist ASVG has added the prepaid offers from FCB Mobil (an MVNO related to the FC Bayern football club) to its catalog1. Its competitor Komsa has expanded its smart object portfolio with three additional vendors: iSmart and LUPUS Electronics (connected alarm systems) as well as Osram (Lightify smart LED lighting)2. Michael Telecom, another of their competitors, has started the distribution of the rugged smartphones from Cyrus Technology3. Log management editor Lepide Software has chosen German security VAD Prosoft and its Austrian subsidiary as official distributors for the whole DACH region4. In Switzerland, broadliner ALSO has officially launched locally its WaaS offer5. Switzerland becomes the sixth country to support this offer, after Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Norway and Sweden. The broadliner has also expanded its storage portfolio with the data and storage management solutions from the Canadian vendor Strongbox Data Solutions6. Beside this, network and security VAD Boll Engineering has started the distribution of the cloud-based network management system from Sinefa7. Broadliner ALSO has added Swiss Application Delivery-Platform oneclick to its ALSO Cloud marketplace. With oneclick, end users can quickly deploy new applications, manage licenses, and keep track of the software they use. Oneclick can stream individual software applications as well as whole desktops from any source to any terminal. The service runs 100% in the user's browser. Software installations on the end device are a thing of the past. In addition, customers work independently of the local operating system as well as the available computing power and storage capacity.
