ALSO reviews its executive board
In a brief press release, broadliner ALSO has announced that Ivan Renaudin was leaving his positions as director of the French office, of reseller LAFI and of member of the executive committee. For all these positions, he is not replaced, although Laurent Mitais takes over the day-to-day management of the distributor, while Bruno Barat, the director of its value division, takes over the direction of sales and marketing, as COO. The reason for this departure is diverging opinions on the development of the French subsidiary. It seems however that Ivan has not completely left the group, but ought to focus on other, unnamed tasks.

Finland: LED bulb vendor Thomson Lighting has added broadliner ALSO to its distributor stable.
ALSO enters the Cloud market
European broadliner ALSO has acquired for an undisclosed amount the Finnish company Nervogrid, which becomes ALSO Cloud, its cloud-dedicated subsidiary. ALSO Cloud will be used to push cloud services through ALSO value divisions in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland. The core element of ALSO Cloud's offering is a web-based cloud control panel, which enables customers and partners to offer various IT services such as IaaS, PaaS and Saas in a simple and autonomous way. Resellers use the cloud control panel to develop, drive and manage the entire sales process from preparation of the service through to billing.

Gustavo Möller-Hergt has been elected new Chairman of the Board for broadliner ALSO.
More acquisitions planned for ALSO
Presenting its 2013 results, broadliner ALSO has unveiled plans for more acquisitions in the coming months. These acquisitions can be made in any country where it does not belong to the local Top 3, and would target any similar distributor. In countries where ALSO is in the Top 3 (Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Switzerland, as it is more in the Top 5 in the Netherlands and Sweden), the acquisitions would target distributors which would allow it to strengthen its positions in the VAD business.
