ACAL acquires BFi Optilas

British semiconductor specialist ACAL has acquired its competitor BFi OPTiLAS for €10m in cash and €2m in shares. By bringing the two businesses together, Acal plans to create a differentiated specialist, providing electronic and photonic products and services to over 14,000 customers across Europe. France-based, BFi Optilas also has offices in Denmark, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
