Toshiba appoint Mitsumi Computer Garage as official distributor

Eastern Africa : Toshiba, a world leader in high technology products, has appointed Mitsumi Computer Garage as official distributor of its products in the Eastern Africa region in a bid to boost sales. Mitsumi Computer Garage owns offices in Kenya as well as in Uganda, and liaison offices in other local countries. The partnership will among other things enhance after-sales backup and support for Toshiba customers within the region. In a move to ascertain their authority in the market, the company has officially set up a sales and support office in Nairobi, Kenya to facilitate easy operations. The partnership will also enable Mitsumi to have direct access to official Toshiba stock that is air freighted in from Germany and South Africa, which will cut down on time between placing an order and having it delivered to resellers and undercut efforts from grey marketers, which build their business on cheap and quick imports from places like Dubai and the Far East. Toshiba’s entire official product portfolio – including laptops, external hard drives, cameras and accessories - will be made available in Kenya through Mitsumi and their resellers and retailers.
