Clearswift continues its one-tier strategy
2011-07-19 Germany : after the United Kingdom a few weeks ago, Clearswift has decided to drop its distributor, VAD Infinigate, in Germany and to work directly with its reseller network. According to Xavier Garcia, sales director of the security editor, Clearswift will not duplicate this strategy to any other European country : "Germany and the United Kingdom are two countries where we have a proportionally more important and direct presence, through local offices. In other European countries, our distributors act as local representatives, and work on presale, marketing and business development issues. We cannot and do not wish to drop them for these reasons."
Sourcefire expands in Eastern Europe
2009-10-22
In one announcement, IPS vendor SourceFire has unveiled an important extension of its distribution network in Eastern and Northern Europe. The company has signed distribution partnerships with VADs Real Security in Slovenia, World IT Systems in Poland, Provision in Romania, Computerlinks in Finland and the Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) and Israeli Multipoint for whole Middle East (albeit it is quite difficult to address Muslim countries from an Israeli-based company).
