setron takes over Trafomo

German semiconductor specialist setron has taken over all shares of its Scandinavian competitor Trafomo. With an headquarter in the vicinity of Copenhagen, Trafomo maintains a headcount of approximately 25 employees and sales offices in Denmark, Finland and Sweden. After the acquisition, Trafomo will continue to operate independently, with the company's site and structure remaining unaltered. However, existing synergies will be exploited and the joint range of products and services is to be extended. Existing partnerships with suppliers and customers, too, will not be touched and will even be reinforced. With immediate effect, former Chief Operating Officer (COO) and industry expert Claus Hjæresen will act as CEO. As part of a succession planning, the managing partner Ole Lindquist will act as a consultant for Trafomo.
