ZTE chooses Itancia
2012-05-15
Chinese vendor ZTE has chosen network and telecom VAD Itancia as an official distributor for its network infrastructure products, including its switches, DSLAM and videoconferencing offer. ZTE products are from now on available through Itancia offices in France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.
Itancia acquires Newcom Distribution
2012-05-02 France : following recovery proceedings, consumer electronics specialist Newcom Distribution has been acquired by telecom VAD Itancia for an undisclosed amount (albeit claimed as the largest in the history of the company). The warehouse of Newcom will be moved to Itancia's near Cholet (western part of the country), while the sales team of Newcom will move to Nanterre and the name should disappear in the short to middle term. This acquisition allows Itancia to enter the consumer electronics market, from which it was until now absent.
A second African office for Itancia
2012-04-03 Morocco : already present since seven years in Tunisia, French telecom VAD Itancia has opened a second sales offices in Maghreb, in Casablanca, Morocco. Managed by Mohamed Hassibi, this office will focus on local market, while the Tunisian office continues to cover the whole French-speaking Africa. On the Moroccan market, Itancia will push Alcatel Business Phone, Avaya, Gigaset, Jabra, Plantronics, Sennheiser and Siemens products, as well as all its eco-recycled products. Beside distribution, Itancia will also help Moroccan resellers with value-added services : training, warranty management, project management, etc.
Alcatel-Lucent expands its partnership with Itancia
2012-03-19 Italy : Alcatel-Lucent has expanded its existing partnership with French telecom VAD Itancia to its Milan subsidiary. A move that is looked as suspicious by a local union, Fiom-CGIL, which wishes to know more of Alcatel-Lucent intentions through this partnership.

The goal of the French distributor is to get a better communication with its German subsidiary, in order to improve its business : something which has seemingly been lost in the past months.
