Extricom appoints Varlink

United Kingdom: WLAN vendor Extricom has chosen POS specialist Varlink as a strategic distributor for the local logistics market. The addition of wireless network infra-structure products to Varlink's range is seemingly logical as the company distribute several thousand wireless enabled mobile computers annually. According to the distributor, Extricom provide margins that are interesting to its system integrators. As the first enterprise wireless LAN system in the Varlink product portfolio, the introduction of Extricom allows Varlink to branch out into new markets.

United Kingdom: Japanese vendor NEC strengthens its point of sales (POS) terminal business in the United Kingdom by partnering with POS specialist Varlink. Through Varlink's nationwide sales channel, NEC and Varlink aim to sell 10,000 "TWINPOS G series" POS terminals to retailers in the country within the next three years. The POS terminals will be available through EPoS Distributor, the retail products sales division of Varlink.

The device currently operates on Windows Mobile 6.5 Pro platform with a view to bringing out an Android version later on in the year. Ultra-rugged and durable with an IP54 rating, 1.5m multiple drop resistance, the RP1100 withstands operating temperature of between -20°C and 55°C. Varlink extends product range with Portsmith Technologies
