United Kingdom: POS specialist Varlink has unveiled the addition of the iconic Panasonic Toughbook, Toughpad and EPoS range of products to its hardware portfolio. Local IT resellers, system integrators and solution providers can now access Panasonic's world leading range of rugged and durable computers with Varlink's next day delivery service.
Since its launch in 1996 the Panasonic Toughbook has defined the ruggedised PC and tablet market, redefining the possibilities of access to data and applications in the most challenging of environments. Toughbook and Toughpad customers work in some of the world's harshest conditions, and therefore need mobile computers that can operate effectively in challenging environments.

They are available in a variety of form factors including Laptops, Notebooks and Tablets ensuring field workers are equipped with a fit for purpose device to meet the everyday challenges of their roles.

Varlink signs up DataVan as new EPOS vendor
United Kingdom: AIDC and POS specialist Varlink has added DataVan to its portfolio of EPoS vendors, introducing the Taiwanese manufacturer to the local market. Varlink will soon be distributing the DataVan Glamor and Bravo ranges of EPoS Terminal, offering a reliable, powerful and stylish solution to UK resellers in both the retail and hospitality sectors. The bezel free Glamor and the entry level Bravo offer easy service and maintenance with innovative field replaceable modular engineering and cable free technology. Both terminals are resistant to dust and spills and the fanfree design of the Glamor series ensures low energy usage, reducing the total cost of ownership for the end user. United Kingdom: DC/POS specialist Varlink have expanded their Honeywell offering with the addition of the Intermec product set to their Honeywell portfolio of barcode scanners, mobile computers and vehicle mount computers. Honeywell completed its acquisition of Intermec in September 2013, adding RFID, voice and printer solutions to the existing Honeywell portfolio of mobile solutions. The addition of the Intermec range will only strengthen Varlink's existing portfolio of Honeywell products by providing the user with a full solution and enhancing their market with the introduction of RFID mobile devices.
United Kingdom: following the departure of Emma Phillips to Portakabin, POS specialist Varlink has hired Kathryn Baarda as its new marketing and alliance manager. Kathryn was previously working for Trustmarque Solutions, a provider of payment gateways and payment risk evaluation.
