Memq AG becomes Littlebit Technology Deutschland AG
2012-01-02 Germany : after the takeover of Memq by Swiss broadliner Littlebit last July, the group management has decided to rename its German arm to Littlebit Technology Deutschland. The company has also unveiled its intention to open a sales office in Unterhaching (near Munich) on 1 January 2012 and seems to be on the verge of opening an office in Austria too. The renaming of the company to Littlebit Technology Deutschland emphasises its strategic development towards becoming a specialist memory distributor throughout the German-speaking world.
Littlebit swallows MemQ
2011-08-19 Germany : Swiss broadliner Littlebit has acquired memory and storage specialist MemQ for an undisclosed amount. This acquisition is a comeback on the German market for Littlebit, which owned a local office in Wiesbaden a few years ago. MemQ will keep its name and organization for the time being, but will soon leverage on Littlebit organization (logistics and IT infrastructure), while pan-DACH distribution partnerships with be signed with vendors.
