2010-03-08
American mobile VPN vendor Netmotion Wireless has started a two-tier strategy in order to conquer more rapidly European market. « We entered Europe through an exclusive partnership with a British representative in 2007. Since then, we opened subsidiaries in France to cover Southern Europe and in Germany for Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe. Our British representative covers now UK and Northern Europe through system integrators», explains Mikael Taillepied, Southern Europe director of the company. In these two regions, Netmotion Wireless has started to build a distribution network on local integrators, just like it does in the US. It is now seeking distributors to expand more rapidly.
« Our German office has signed a partnership with Hako Computing, and we just stroke a deal with French Yatoo, which is specialized in mobility in healthcare environment : this market is a tremendous opportunity for us, as a French law has recently been passed, which requires healthcare professionals to encrypt their exchanges when they access patient data», Mikael says. The company is now seeking other distributors in Europe : « we are opened to any profile, but I guess either security VADs or mobility specialists would be the best profiles», Mikael plans.
