Magirus clinches first pan-EMEA distribution deal with Embotics

Infrastructure VAD Magirus has signed a pan-European distribution agreement with Embotics, a Canadian company specialized in virtualisation and private cloud management. The partnership represents Embotics' first pan-EMEA distribution agreement. The deal gives Magirus' 6,000-strong European resellers access to Embotics V-Commander, a virtualisation and private cloud management solution, which has been designed and priced competitively to address the mid-market (250 virtual machines and above). Specifically, Embotics’ virtualisation and cloud management products present resellers with an out-of-the-box, cost effective software solution to sell consultancy services to help enterprises better manage their virtualised servers and move to efficient private cloud deployments. Embotics V-Commander should be available through Magirus offices in Austria, Benelux, France, Germany, Italy, Middle East, Portugal, Scandinavia, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
Eset signs up distributor agreement with Bulwark
2012-02-07 Middle East : Czech anti-virus editor Eset has teamed up with security VAD Bulwark Technologies in a move to meet the growing demand for its security solution by SMB and corporate markets. Under the terms of the agreement, Bulwark will market, sell and support ESET's anti-virus software ESET NOD32 Antivirus and ESET Smart Security solutions through its reseller network across Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, UAE and Yemen.
Tech Data changes its European organisation

Tech Data Europe has unveiled changes to its European organisation which will enable it to optimise its efficiency whilst enhancing the support for its country operations. As a result of its acquisition strategy in Europe and the diversification of its distribution business, a new European Executive Board (EEB) has been formed to represent the company's technology areas and country and business operations. The EEB will drive the strategic direction of the company's European operations and ensure it takes advantage of the growth opportunities that exist in both its traditional IT business, its specialist divisions and its services. In addition, to provide greater focus and consistency in execution, the European country operations have been divided between two Regional Senior Vice Presidents. One will be led by Andy Gass who will be responsible for the following country operations: Belgium & Luxembourg, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom. The other will be led by Jonas Elmgren who will have responsibility for Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden and Switzerland. Both Regional Senior Vice Presidents will report into Néstor Cano, President, Europe. "The formation of an EEB and two regional operations will enable the company to be even more efficient and agile in its decision making at a strategic level, while allowing us to benefit from the strength and experience of country managers in their own markets," said Néstor Cano, President, Europe. "These changes are consistent with our major business goals and provide our country operations with the opportunity to take full advantage of the technology areas in which we operate, utilising our existing pan-European infrastructure and resources, whilst they focus on excellence in execution in sales and marketing to develop and grow our business."

A10 Networks signs on Scope ME as authorized support provider
2012-02-06 Middle East : application networking specialist A10 Networks has named network and security VAD Scope ME as its authorized support provider for the region. This development further strengthens the relationship between the two companies who had signed a distributorship agreement in September. As per the arrangement, Scope ME will provide support contracts and professional services to A10 Networks' wide customer base in the Middle East. These support contracts can be customized to suit the requirements of each individual customer.
FVC signs Zoho
2012-02-02 MENA : network, security and telecom VAD FVC has signed a partnership agreement with Zoho Corporation, a private company which offers a comprehensive suite of award-winning, on-line business, productivity & collaboration applications. FVC will represent Zoho in the region as a VAD for their online Cloud Applications, mainly Zoho CRM, Zoho HRIS, Zoho Projects, Zoho invoicing and Zoho Web Conferencing. This will be addition to FVC Cloud vision of bringing Emerging Cloud services to the region and equip resellers to offer cloud services. Zoho solutions will be available through FVC offices in Dubai, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco and Saudi Arabia.
