SMART distributor contract with Steljes now includes Adriatic region

Collaboration solution vendor SMART Technologies has extended its contract with British AV VAD Steljes into the Adriatic region (that is Albania, Croatia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia). Steljes has selected Maribor, Slovenia, as its headquarters for the region and is setting up demonstration centers in each country featuring the comprehensive range of products from SMART Technologies for both education and business customers. The demonstration centers will include customer briefing and training rooms to ensure that existing and prospective customers receive the information, product training, professional development and services they may require. The new office will be managed by Mari Bojmalieva as Regional Category Manager. This is an internal promotion for Mari who has held a number of roles in the training department since she joined Steljes six years ago. Her most recent role was that of Head of Training in the UK and Ireland. Under her leadership, she has increased the department's revenue by 30% year on year with over 5000 receiving training in the last 18 months alone. As part of her remit, she will be responsible for up-skilling resellers and helping them to achieve SMART Reseller Accreditation programme (SRAP) status. As a native of Macedonia, Mai understand the cultural implications of working in this region and speaks fluent English, German, Serbian/Croatian and Macedonian.

Steljes signs with AMX

United Kingdom : AV VAD Steljes has inked a distribution partnership with AMX, giving its resellers an access to AMX's complete portfolio of over 5,000 products spanning control and automation, system-wide switching and audio/video signal distribution, digital signage and technology management. The agreement is the fifth UK partnership that Steljes has secured this year and underlines the company's strategy to provide its resellers with added-value solutions that will help them grow their businesses profitably.

Steljes promotes Baker

United Kingdom : AV VAD Steljes has promoted Sam Baker to Head of Product Management. Sam has worked for two years for Steljes following a successful eight years as director of A/V reseller Accurate. In her new role, she will head up a team of nine people and will oversee the company's growth strategy for its existing product portfolio. She reports to Ian Goodhind.

Steljes announces new Specialist Products Division

United Kingdom : AV VAD Steljes has set up a Specialist Products Division to complement its existing product portfolio and capitalise on the Pro AV market place. The Specialist Products Division will focus on the full range of core AV connectivity solutions such as signal conversion products, switching and distribution solutions as well as specialist products including integrating cloud based digital signage with social media networks and custom built solutions for video walls for retail and command and control environments. Three new appointments have been made to ensure the division has the skills and expertise to help Steljes resellers capitalise on this market place. Stuart Humphries will head up the division as commercial manager, responsible for strategy and growth. He joins Steljes from Magenta Research. Reporting to Stuart are two AV business managers : Mike Fry will be responsible for the technical aspects of the products while Jin Khangura will be responsible for working with the Steljes sales teams to drive adoption of these new products. Both join Steljes from Micro P.
