Red Hat drops Channel Concept

Netherlands : after having announced a cooperation in 2007, Red Hat has announced that it was dropping Channel Concept as a distributor, having never really worked with it. The open source specialist will therefore stick to its two other distributors, Dupaco and Copaco (source : Computer Reseller News Nederland).

Netherlands : VAD Channel Concepts is having troubled times. About to be bought by its competitor Logix, he sees its CEO Bart van Rheenen leave to manage this VAD, which in turns abandons any idea about purchasing it. Beside this, its SAP Alliance manager, Harry Beijersbergen van Henegouwen, also left for a system integrator. And a few months ago, its sales manager Bareld Huitema also left, being accused of fraud by Bart van Rheenen according to Computer Reseller News Nederland. But beside this, Bart van Rheenen who is now manager of Logix, still owns shares of its competitors Channel Concepts and Dupaco : certainly a conflict of interests ! All this led Jur Faber, remaining manager and other main shareholder of Channel Concepts, to discuss with Bart van Rheenen through lawyers, while trying to find a new acting director. It seems hopefully that both gentlemen found an agreement about the future of Channel Concepts... Anyway, if anything new comes to light, we will keep you up-to-date.
