Arrow ECS and Oracle help accelerate channel cloud growth globally

Infrastructure VAD Arrow ECS and Oracle have rolled out a series of initiatives across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa aimed at accelerating channel cloud sales by providing resellers and solution providers with comprehensive expertise and support to help their end-user customers migrate to the cloud.

"Arrow understands that today’s solution providers are much more than simple product resellers —they are trusted advisers helping end-users navigate the often-complex migration to the cloud. That's why Arrow teams with cloud leaders like Oracle to offer training, demos and full product support through ArrowSphere that can help equip resellers with the expertise they need to accelerate business growth", said Steve Robinson, vice president of Arrow's global cloud solutions sales.

Through ArrowSphere, Arrow's global cloud marketplace, Arrow now offers the full suite of Oracle Cloud products—ranging from Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions, including storage and compute, as well as Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings such as database, Java, business intelligence, integration and mobile cloud applications. ArrowSphere also offers resellers and end-customers alike the unique opportunity to work with skilled cloud experts in their local markets. In addition to the comprehensive Oracle offerings available through ArrowSphere, Arrow will also offer regional training workshops in North America and Europe. Hosted in conjunction with the nonprofit IT trade association CompTIA, these workshops will inform value-added resellers (VARs) and managed service providers (MSPs) on how to effectively assess the cloud needs of end-users and bring Oracle cloud offerings to market.

Additionally, Arrow will provide free demos of Oracle Cloud solutions, coupled with rich, multi-product, proof-of-concept capability to more than 250 solution providers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa to assist in transforming their customers' cloud interest into cloud business. Arrow's demo offerings are readily available today for resellers to showcase the capabilities of Oracle Cloud products and services. Arrow was named Oracle's Excellence Award for Specialised Solutions in Cloud Transformation at Oracle OpenWorld earlier this week. Arcserve chooses Arrow ECS

Netherlands: infrastructure VAD Arrow ECS has been appointed as authorized distributor for backup and replication solutions from Arcserve. Arrow ECS will distribute the entire Arcserve portfolio, containing Arcserve UDP, ARCserve Backup and Arcserve Appliance. It will focus on larger and technically more complex environments. Arcserve is one of the fastest growing backup and replication vendors in the industry. It was looking for a real value-add distributor. "Following the successful launch of Arcserve UDP, we believe that the partnership with Arrow ECS will bring us into position to continue our growth", said Giovanni Goduti, Sales Director Arcserve for Northern Europe. Exclusive Group names David Ellis as Director Global Services

Network and security VAD Exclusive Group has appointed technology specialist David Ellis to spearhead the Group's continued investment in innovative new services, as Group Director, Global Services. David will use his considerable experience in supporting new and disruptive technologies to roll out new services offerings for the cybersecurity market, supporting the Group's ambition to retain and extend its value-added model on a global basis.

Arrow ECS accelerates hybrid cloud growth through Microsoft CSP programme

Infrastructure VAD Arrow ECS is now participating in the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Programme, which is designed to strengthen customer relationships and expand cloud sales opportunities. Arrow will leverage its global base of value-added resellers and managed service providers to sell Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Enterprise Mobility Suite and Dynamics CRM Online subscriptions in the United States and Europe, through its offices in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Former key Arrow heavyweight joins to add impact with global vendors and systems integrators

Network and security VAD Exclusive Group has hired Stéphane Duplaix, the former EMEA Sales Director of Arrow ECS, to head the company's ambitious expansion plans as Group Director, Strategic Alliances. Stéphane will steer the Group's fast growing partnerships business with an increasing number of global systems integrators and key vendor partners. Stéphane brings considerable experience in the cybersecurity and datacentre distribution industries, and will play a pivotal role in maximising Exclusive's expanded international footprint, rich services offering and "pace setting" vendor portfolio.
