Hammer gets near its Dutch clients

Netherlands : finding out that it was more difficult than expected to reach Dutch resellers from Belgium (the contrary being also true), British storage VAD Hammer has decided to open a sales office in Almere. Hammer Netherlands is managed by Ivo Roersma, former sales manager of Avnet Technology Solutions. This office is the fourth of the British company, beside Italy, Sweden and of course Belgium.

Certeon expands channel footprint with Hammer

Application performance specialist Certeon has signed a partnership with storage specialist Hammer. This Europe-wide agreement calls for Hammer to distribute Certeon's aCelera solution amongst its comprehensive storage portfolio. The partnership promises improved speed and efficiency for customers of WAN-based backup and replication throughout Europe, thanks to Hammer's offices in Benelux, Italy, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Certeon offers a compelling, virtualized and cost-effective solution to substantially accelerate the performance of any application, for any user, on any device, on any network. By adding Certeon's suite of software-based solutions, aCelera, to its product portfolio, Hammer has enhanced its Wide Area Network (WAN) and underpinning DR replication offerings for customers that require global application acceleration, as well as providing integration opportunities for WAN acceleration with other vendor's solutions such as Dell, NetApp and HP.

Hammer launches its channel-only services company

United Kingdom : storage VAD Hammer has bolstered its professional services offering with the launch of Malleus, a channel-only, IT services, consultancy and training company. Headed by Paul Hickingbotham, its technical Malleus has been created to enhance the value-add that Hammer offers its channel partners. Malleus customers can utilize the wider pool of resources to boost their offering to customers and increase their competitiveness. It offers an extensive range of services to assist resellers, covering consultancy, tender responses (RFQ/RFI), solution design, installation (from simple "rack and stack" to full system configuration), health checks, project management, bespoke sales and technical training, and briefings and seminars management from certified staff. Hammer and NetApp relationship grows

United Kingdom : storage vendor NetApp has extended the product range available via its VAD Hammer, granting distribution rights to the whole of NetApp’s portfolio. This includes the FAS 2000, FAS 3000 and FAS 6000 series, as well as the complete software solutions range, allowing the distributor to grow its partners to the highest level within the NetApp partner structure. Hammer has demonstrated exponential growth since becoming a NetApp Silver Partner Programme Distributor in 2009, and adds value to the vendor’s range by training partners using Hammer’s NetApp-accredited technical engineers and demonstration kits, and accompanying resellers to customer sites to provide installation and training on the systems.

Toshiba appoints Hammer to distribute SSDs in Europe

Toshiba Electronics Europe has appointed storage distributor Hammer to supply its range of solid state drives (SSDs). The agreement, which begins with immediate effect, covers the whole of Europe through Hammer's offices in Belgium, Italy, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Hammer will target original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and system integrators in application areas including broadcast equipment, content storage solutions, and industrial and ruggedized PCs.
