Computerlinks and EfficientIP join forces to bring DDI solutions to the channel

Network and security VAD Computerlinks has expanded its distribution partnership with DNS, DHCP and IP management system vendor EfficientIP to the Ireland and United Kingdom. Both companies are working since some times in Finland and Baltic States, France, Germany and the Netherlands. The agreement means that Computerlinks channel partners now have access to EfficientIP's SOLIDserver suite of appliances, enabling them to deliver DDI solutions alongside a portfolio of networking solutions. The agreement will allow resellers to capitalise on a fast-growing market, fuelled by the increasing demand to save costs by automating often complex and resource-intensive IP network management tasks.

Computerlinks partners with ExtraHop Networks to bring visibility to application management

Network and security VAD Computerlinks has signed a distribution agreement in the United Kingdom and Ireland with ExtraHop Networks, a provider of network-based application performance management (APM) solutions. The agreement will further enhance Computerlinks’ datacentre solutions portfolio which currently includes D-Link, Ericom, Gigamon, NetEx, SteelEye and The Virtual Machine Company and supported by a dedicated virtualisation professional services practice for channel partners. ExtraHop Networks provides agentless, network-based application performance management to ensure that business-critical transactions do not fail. With the ExtraHop Application Delivery Assurance system, IT teams gain real-time visibility for mapping and measuring, proactive early warning and accelerated troubleshooting. While many tools rely on legacy technologies such as NetFlow collection, SNMP polling, custom performance agents, or active service checks, the ExtraHop system performs full-stream reassembly and full-content analysis to extract and archive valuable performance and health metrics in a real-time data store. With deployment in less than one hour, ExtraHop offers channel partners a way to rapidly add significant value to their customers.

Computerlinks unveils new Alvea Authentication Service

Network and security VAD Computerlinks has previewed on "Capitalise on Cloud" event its new Alvea Authentication Services. Alvea Authentication is an automated two-factor authentication service that manages user access to business applications and data. It allows resellers to tap into a growing market without the cost or risk of developing their own in-house delivered services. The ALVEA Authentication Service delivers a flexible, managed, automated and highly secure service that delivers high data integrity with a lower total cost of ownership (TCO). Key features include:

No servers, hardware or capital expenditure
Reduced infrastructure, technical resource and management costs
Fast, simple deployment
Widest possible range of token, tokenless and SMS strong authentication
Global, scalable and resilient infrastructure

Its infrastructure is based on fully redundant, strategically located global Authentication Points-of-Presence, which are co-located in both European and North American data centres, each complying to relevant data centre standards and carrier grade practices such as TIA-942 and ISO27001. This new service is immediately available in Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway and the United Kingdom. The other countries (Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Sweden and Switzerland) should follow within the next quarter.

Computerlinks brings first multi-vendor business continuity solution to the channel with TADASoft

Network and security VAD Computerlinks has signed an exclusive distribution agreement in Ireland and the United Kingdom for Restorepoint by TADASoft, an independent software development company focused on disaster recovery for network, security and storage solutions. The agreement will enhance and complement Computerlinks’ established portfolio of networking, security and storage solutions and will form a key component of its expanding business continuity channel proposition. The appointment will provide Computerlinks’ channel partners with access to Restorepoint - an integrated hardware or virtualised platform that automatically backs up, encrypts and restores network and security devices from 35 vendors through a single console.

Computerlinks ALVEA cloud services available worldwide

Network and security VAD Computerlinks has decided to expand its ALVEA cloud services to all its offices in the world. The full portfolio of ALVEA Channelled Services, including its satellite-based Business Internet Continuity Service, are available through Computerlinks in Germany, Ireland, Italy and the United Kingdom. The remaining six ALVEA Services are now also available exclusively through the channel from the distributor in Australia, Denmark, Dubai (which covers Bahrain and India), Finland, France, Hungary, Singapore and Sweden, while Computerlinks in the Netherlands and Norway are currently supporting four of the ALVEA Services. In Switzerland, Computerlinks supports two ALVEA Services, with two more coming soon. Austria does not seem to currently carry the ALVEA Services.

The full ALVEA Cloud and Managed Services portfolio consists of:
