Shoretel and Exer Datacom sign a partnership
2012-01-06 France : IP phone vendor ShoreTel has signed a distribution partnership with network and security VAD Exer Datacom which, thus, enters this market for the first time. Exer Datacom already got 5 Shoretel-certified engineers, including one presale manager fully dedicated to unified communications. With this team, Exer Datacom hopes to be able to serve all needs from Shoretel resellers.
Exer Datacom authenticates with Actividentity
2011-12-05 France : security VAD Exer Datacom has inked a distribution contract with HID's subsidiary ActivIdentity, which is specialized in strong authentication and identity assurance solutions. Exer Datacom will act as a second distributor in the country, beside Exclusive Networks, and will target the local SMB market.
Exer Datacom manages mobile fleets with Fiberlink
2011-07-29 France : network and security VAD Exer Datacom ventures in mobility market thanks to a new partnership with the American editor Fiberlink Communications, which has developed a mobile fleet management tool named MaaS360. MaaS360 is able to manage both notebooks and smartphones (Apple iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, webOS, Symbian) through Active Directory, ActiveSync and Lotus Traveler databases.
Exer Datacom manages energy with AVOB
2011-06-27 France : network and security VAD Exer Datacom has been appointed by young French startup AVOB (for Alternative Vision Of Business) as its first distributor. Avob is specialist in energy management solutions for IT assets. Its Energy Viewer puts PCs, notebooks, screen and Cisco network devices in sleep mode whenever unused thanks to the SmartSleep function, and adapts in realtime needed computing power when PCs are used. AVOB solutions are used by major accounts and public services.
Exer Datacom gets into storage with Additional Design
2011-03-14 France : on IT Partners, security VAD Exer Datacom has officialized its acquisition of storage specialist Additional Design. "We entered storage market about one year ago but still lacked reseller legitimacy. Thanks to Additional Design's extensive experience in this market, we will be able to accelerate our growth on its market", says Michel Grunspan, President of Exer Datacom. Additional Design will keep its identity and will become a subsidiary of Exer Datacom. It will give its new owner a physical access to Parisian territory, which is important to provide efficiently value-added services to local resellers. Additional Design's own brands, NASstor and SANstor, will directly benefit from Exer's team and experience in IT system building (OEM security appliances and digital signage servers) : "we are active through this business in 40 countries, and we will of course add Additional Design products in our portfolio", explains Michel Grunspan.
