RES Software expands distribution network with Prianto

United Kingdom : dynamic desktop solutions specialist RES Software (aka Real Enterprise Solutions) has appointed knowledge-based distributor Prianto to support its expanding channel programme. Prianto's expertise in the virtualisation and application availability markets will provide RES Software partners with access to new market opportunities, as well as growing the RES Software partner base. Prianto will provide resellers with specialist support and technical expertise around RES Software solutions for workspace management and automation across virtual and physical IT environments, including rapid training and integration skills. Prianto also has a number of complementary technology relationships and technical experience working with key RES Software technology partners such as Citrix and VMware, providing resellers with access to specialist virtualisation consultants that can help drive sales success. Prianto joins Arrow ECS and CDG UK as the third RES distributor in the country.

CDG tackles IE6 legacy with Browsium

United Kingdom : infrastructure VAD CDG UK has partnered with American editor Browsium to provide local organisations with UniBrows, an enterprise browser management solution that enables IE6-dependent line-of-business applications to run natively on new OS and browser platforms—without changing a single line of code. UniBrows is a lightweight browser add-on that is easy and inexpensive to deploy and requires no new infrastructure investment to support it. By simply installing UniBrows on PCs running Windows 7 or Windows XP, enterprises can continue to use all their IE6-dependent applications within an IE8 and IE9 tab, without the need for app redevelopment or use of complex and expensive virtualization solutions.

Wick Hill signs with Expand Networks

American WAN optimization vendor Expand Networks has appointed VAD Wick Hill as official distributor in both Germany and the United Kingdom. In this country, Wick Hill is the fourth Expand distributor, beside CDG, Cloud Distribution and Sematron, after the vendor dropped Arrow ECS some time ago. Wick Hill ought to target a more "generalist" type of reseller.

Egenera expands European Partner Channel by appointing CDG

United Kingdom : Egenera, the only provider of open converged infrastructure management software that supports heterogeneous data centres, and network VAD CDG have reached agreement that CDG will be appointed to offer Egenera PAN Manager to system integrators and value-added resellers in the country as well as in Ireland. CDG specialises in application availability, including wide area network (WAN), virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), virtual applications, service automation, desktop and server management and cloud services.

Arrow ECS, RES Software bring adaptive desktop-management solutions to channel

United Kingdom : RES Software, which is specialized in dynamic desktop solutions, has signed an agreement authorizing network and security VAD Arrow ECS to distribute its dynamic desktop management solutions in the country, beside its competitor CDG. As part of this deal, Arrow ECS will provide resellers with increased technical, marketing and sales support. The appointment of Arrow ECS in the country follows an agreement signed with Arrow ECS in North America that was completed in August 2010.
