Alpha International makes changes in its organisational structure
2012-05-15 Netherlands : supply specialist Alpha International has made changes to its organisational structure. One of these changes is the stepping down of the Managing Director, Ralph Wouters van den Oudenweijer, who has been appointed CEO of the Saphin Investment Group, of which Alpha International is a part. Ralph Wouters van den Oudenweijer's successor is Marc Nijhof, who was Commercial Director at Alpha International and remains, next to his new position as Managing Director, responsible for the European sales organisations and marketing and communication. In addition to Marc Nijhof, the other members of the board of directors are Geert Kurvers (Operations) and Jelmer van den Beld (Finance).
Alpha International retreats to the Netherlands
2012-04-27 France : Dutch supply specialist Alpha International has decided to cover the French market from its Dutch headquarters, in order to optimize its costs. The company keeps its French address, but all phone enquiries are redirected to the Netherlands, where a 5-people strong, French-speaking team, managed by Jackson Runezerwa, will answer to the needs of the French customers. This strategy is limited to France, the British and German offices keep working the usual way.
Alpha International launches new webshop
2011-08-11 Netherlands : supply specialist Alpha International has launched its new webshop, based on Batavi open source ecommerce platform. This new shop has a number of important features : it is multilingual, opened up for prospects to request a price quote and has an intuitive navigation added. Furthermore, by fully integrating with the internal ERP system from Alpha International, customers have the option of real-time inventory and price checks, but also can look into outstanding orders, returns and electronic invoices. Customers can use the product selector with "pre and after search" capabilities, to rapidly find the right products and place an order directly if desired. Besides, the possibility is created to easily place an order by uploading an Excel sheet, which is useful with large or repeated orders. The webshop is also available to Alpha International's clients in France, Germany and the United Kingdom.
Alpha International goes for 100% CO2 neutral waste

Dutch print supply specialist Alpha International has registered at the SITA Green Label Standard energy project that neutralises all released CO2. Thanks to SITA Green Label, Alpha International can now have its waste collected and processed 100% CO2 neutrally. SITA Green Label keeps the CO2 emissions as low as possible through prevention and reusing of and recycling the waste. But a very small amount of CO2 does remain. This will be compensated for by a voluntary financial contribution. SITA Green Label uses this contribution to finance the Climate Neutral Group's sustainable energy projects to compensate for the small amount of CO2 that remains. Beside the Netherlands, Alpha International owns offices in France, Germany and the United Kingdom.
