Hammer and NetApp relationship grows
2011-08-30
United Kingdom : storage vendor NetApp has extended the product range available via its VAD Hammer, granting distribution rights to the whole of NetApp’s portfolio. This includes the FAS 2000, FAS 3000 and FAS 6000 series, as well as the complete software solutions range, allowing the distributor to grow its partners to the highest level within the NetApp partner structure. Hammer has demonstrated exponential growth since becoming a NetApp Silver Partner Programme Distributor in 2009, and adds value to the vendor’s range by training partners using Hammer’s NetApp-accredited technical engineers and demonstration kits, and accompanying resellers to customer sites to provide installation and training on the systems.

The agreement, which begins with immediate effect, covers the whole of Europe through Hammer's offices in Belgium, Italy, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Dell and CMS Peripherals part ways
2011-03-11
One year after signing together for the distribution of Equallogic products, Dell and storage specialist CMS Peripherals are parting company. CMS Peripherals joined Hammer in Dell's EqualLogic distribution lineup for both Ireland and the United Kingdom last February. It succeeded into converting 12 new resellers, for 20 targeted. According to the distributor, reasons for these low results were an insufficient market size, the economic downturn and a stronger-than-expected competition from HP LeftHand.
