Two new vendors in ALSO's cloud
During the official presentation of its cloud marketplace for France and Switzerland, broadliner ALSO has unveiled the addition of two new cloud vendors, beside Microsoft. The marketplace thus offers the cloud version of Swiftpage Act! CRM tool as well as Acronis online backup tools. These services are available through ALSO cloud platform in Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland.
ALSO joins Microsoft CSP Program
Broadliner ALSO is from now on participating in the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program. The CSP program opens up attractive opportunities for ALSO resellers to package their solutions with Microsoft cloud offerings. Beginning with Office 365 and Windows Intune, the CSP program will continue to expand other Microsoft cloud offerings, including Microsoft Azure, Dynamics CRM Online, and more. The CSP program gives ALSO a unique opportunity to expand its portfolio and grow its business with Microsoft cloud offerings in combination with other ALSO qualified services that are available in all local ALSO Cloud Marketplaces. ALSO Cloud Marketplace, which is available through ALSO offices in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland, enables ALSO resellers to manage their customers' entire lifecycle, from selling combined offerings and services, to their automated provisioning, billing, and reporting. In addition, ALSO offers a variety of value-added services and local support, so that resellers have a single point of contact for all of their needs. Microsoft cloud offerings, starting with Office 365 and Windows Intune, will be available in ALSO Cloud Marketplaces at the start of the second quarter, 2015. Resellers and their customers can choose from various support plans, ranging from self-care capabilities to 24/7 local-language support that is fully integrated into the ALSO Cloud Marketplace.
ALSO reviews its executive board
In a brief press release, broadliner ALSO has announced that Ivan Renaudin was leaving his positions as director of the French office, of reseller LAFI and of member of the executive committee. For all these positions, he is not replaced, although Laurent Mitais takes over the day-to-day management of the distributor, while Bruno Barat, the director of its value division, takes over the direction of sales and marketing, as COO. The reason for this departure is diverging opinions on the development of the French subsidiary. It seems however that Ivan has not completely left the group, but ought to focus on other, unnamed tasks.
ALSO enters the Cloud market
European broadliner ALSO has acquired for an undisclosed amount the Finnish company Nervogrid, which becomes ALSO Cloud, its cloud-dedicated subsidiary. ALSO Cloud will be used to push cloud services through ALSO value divisions in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland. The core element of ALSO Cloud's offering is a web-based cloud control panel, which enables customers and partners to offer various IT services such as IaaS, PaaS and Saas in a simple and autonomous way. Resellers use the cloud control panel to develop, drive and manage the entire sales process from preparation of the service through to billing.
ALSO appoints a new Chairman of the Board
Gustavo Möller-Hergt has been elected new Chairman of the Board for broadliner ALSO.
