Parts Group Europe grows
2011-04-05 Cebit : sparepart network Parts Group Europe has welcomed in the last six months three new distributors. British Express Group (Benelux, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Greece, Portugal/Spain, Romania, Turkey and the United Kingdom/Ireland), German Moravia Europe (Czech Republic, Germany, Poland and Slovakia) and Russian Technoparts (all CIS countries) have joined the founders German MK Computer Electronic (Austria, Germany, Greece and Italy), Swiss Swissparts (Hungary and Switzerland) and German Tomtech (France and Germany). The group is although still absent from some parts of Europe (Scandinavia and Baltic countries mainly). This way, all members are now able to compete with bigger distributors, thanks to a common, more important buying power.
MK Electronics about to cross the Rhine
2010-03-16 Cebit 2010/France : German distributor MK Electronics is one of the two main European spareparts specialist, with French Europarts. Historically present in Germany, Austria, Italy and Greece, its yearly turnover is roughly €30m. « We are already working on French market from our German office. But we feel that this business, which is currently worth around €1m every year, is much lower than what we can achieve there. Therefore we plan to open a local sales office within two years », explains Axel Weinmann, MK marketing director.
MK Electronics does not wish, on the contrary, to enter British market, mainly because of the risk of change. Asked about the interest of sparepart market, while IT prices are getting lower and lower, Axel Weinmann is confident : « for high-end products, repair is still worthy. Potential market is also huge, and there is room for everybody. » Compared to its other French competitors, MK Electronics plans to attract resellers with low prices and a good availability, thank to local stocks : « but our main goal will not to take clients from our competitors, but find new ones », underscores Axel Weinmann.
