Exclusive Networks to push on services
2012-03-30
In order to drive its future growth, French network and security VAD Exclusive Networks is investing in a new infrastructure and new services to optimize and automatize the order processing and technical support on the European scale, starting with Scandinavia. The distributor also plans to launch in the coming months its own offer of managed services, in order to help its resellers generate recurring business. This offer may very well look like the Alvea offer of its competitor Computerlinks. Currently, Exclusive Networks is present, beside France, in Austria, Belgium, Finland, Germany, Italy, Morocco, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
Computerlinks unveils new Alvea Authentication Service
2011-11-15
Network and security VAD Computerlinks has previewed on "Capitalise on Cloud" event its new Alvea Authentication Services. Alvea Authentication is an automated two-factor authentication service that manages user access to business applications and data. It allows resellers to tap into a growing market without the cost or risk of developing their own in-house delivered services. The ALVEA Authentication Service delivers a flexible, managed, automated and highly secure service that delivers high data integrity with a lower total cost of ownership (TCO). Key features include:
No servers, hardware or capital expenditure
Reduced infrastructure, technical resource and management costs
Fast, simple deployment
Widest possible range of token, tokenless and SMS strong authentication
Global, scalable and resilient infrastructure
Its infrastructure is based on fully redundant, strategically located global Authentication Points-of-Presence, which are co-located in both European and North American data centres, each complying to relevant data centre standards and carrier grade practices such as TIA-942 and ISO27001. This new service is immediately available in Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway and the United Kingdom. The other countries (Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Sweden and Switzerland) should follow within the next quarter.
Computerlinks ALVEA cloud services available worldwide
2011-07-27
Network and security VAD Computerlinks has decided to expand its ALVEA cloud services to all its offices in the world. The full portfolio of ALVEA Channelled Services, including its satellite-based Business Internet Continuity Service, are available through Computerlinks in Germany, Ireland, Italy and the United Kingdom. The remaining six ALVEA Services are now also available exclusively through the channel from the distributor in Australia, Denmark, Dubai (which covers Bahrain and India), Finland, France, Hungary, Singapore and Sweden, while Computerlinks in the Netherlands and Norway are currently supporting four of the ALVEA Services. In Switzerland, Computerlinks supports two ALVEA Services, with two more coming soon. Austria does not seem to currently carry the ALVEA Services.
The full ALVEA Cloud and Managed Services portfolio consists of:
ALVEA Business Internet Continuity – the first satellite-based automated internet failover service
ALVEA Managed Firewall – a range of fully managed network and application firewalls using Check Point technology
ALVEA Managed Secure backup – a suite of easy-to-deploy managed solutions to deliver a secure, resilient endpoint data service
ALVEA Managed Content and Application Delivery – to provide full management for secure web communications and accelerated business application delivery using technology from Blue Coat and Trend Micro
ALVEA Infrastructure – bringing the benefits of secure, on-demand infrastructure to enterprise IT
ALVEA Cloud Attached Storage – a cost-effective, all-in-one solution for centralised storage and secure off-site protection
ALVEA Anti-Virus – a fast, simple and effective endpoint solution
The Alvea Cloud Attached Storage service combines on-premise Network Attached Storage (NAS) appliances with cloud services to provide an integrated, all-in-one solution for shared storage, data protection and collaboration avoiding the need for separate, more expensive solutions that are often difficult to manage. The on-site device provides a local copy of data for fast recovery and a cloud-based off-site copy for full disaster recovery. Unlike other cloud-based storage solutions, the Alvea Cloud Attached Storage service not only acts as a storage device, but also backs up data and allows businesses to quickly recover individual files or even re-build entire workstations and servers.
As with all its Alvea services, Computerlinks will provide channel partners with a comprehensive package including full training, telephone support, legal documentation and marketing collateral so that resellers do not have to incur any up-front investment themselves. All of the above is backed by the on-going support of the Alvea sales and technical teams. The Alvea Cloud Attached Storage service complements Computerlinks’ Alvea Managed Secure Backup, which was launched in October 2010, by providing a cost-effective hybrid cloud alternative for small and medium-sized businesses looking to address their on-premise storage needs as well as their business continuity and collaboration requirements.
Exclusive Networks hires from SecureSoft
2010-10-28 France : pan-European network and security VAD Exclusive Networks has hired Mikko Vaajamo as Product Marketing director. Mikko is not a newcomer as he is the founder of pan-Scandinavian distributor Securesoft, which was acquired in 2005 by German-based pan-European VAD Computerlinks. Among his tasks, he will have to apply the product strategy of the company in all its subsidiaries, to manage relationships with vendors on group level. He will also be in charge of the technology intelligence of the group.
