ALSO and Innovix form strategic partnership

Broadliner ALSO and Innovix Distribution have agreed on a strategic partnership to bring a wide range of local and global vertical-focused cloud services to SMB and Enterprise customers in South-East Asia and Hong Kong. Both companies are joining forces to make the ALSO Cloud Marketplace platform available to 5,500 of Innovix's channel partners starting in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong, with plans to expand further in the region. The partnership provides ALSO with the opportunity to expand services from its catalogue to Innovix's customers. Right from the start, well-known international cloud service providers and local vertical-focused ISVs will have a new platform to offer a broad range of services.

We already serve 15 markets in Europe directly and 15 more through our partners in the UK (Westcoast) and the Middle-East (Logicom). ALSO in exclusive talks to acquire Five 4 U

Broadliner ALSO intends to acquire Dutch Mac and graphic arts specialist Five 4 U, which is also present in Belgium and covers, from there, the French and Luxembourg markets. "Five 4 U is a perfect match for ALSO. Our portfolios are complementary. I am convinced that both Five 4U and ALSO will profit from the combination of the businesses", says Gustavo Möller-Hergt, CEO of ALSO. "ALSO provides a broad international market access. At the same time the Benelux focus of Five 4 U will help ALSO to further increase its strong market share in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg", says Rien Slagter, CEO of Five 4 U. Five 4 U represents more than 50 vendors and has an international customer base of well-established resellers. They will also benefit from ALSO's broad portfolio of product and service offers. ALSO intends to leverage this given cross selling potential. ALSO expects to sign the business combination agreement in fall 2016 after the completion of the due diligence.

ALSO and Logicom form cloud partnership to serve Southern Europe and Middle East

Broadliners ALSO and Logicom have agreed on a strategic partnership to bring a wide range of local and global cloud-based software services to customers in Southern Europe and the Middle East. Both companies join forces to make the ALSO Cloud Marketplace platform available to over 10,000 Logicom partners in 13 countries, with a potential of 350,000 new seats on the platform: Bahrain, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malta, Oman, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. This provides ALSO with the opportunity to offer services from its catalogue to Logicom's customers. Right from the start, well-known international cloud service providers and local ISVs will use the platform to provide a broad range of services.

Another office and a bigger warehouse for ALSO

After Slovenia a few weeks ago, German broadliner ALSO has decided to open a full-fledged office to cover the Belgian market. ALSO België takes over the local market from ALSO Nederland, Jürgen de Biscop keeping the reins of the local business, officially based in Gent. Beside this, the distributor has also opened a bigger logistic center in Pirkkala, Finland. In sum, approximately €20m were invested to create a fully flexible warehouse. It enables same-day delivery across the greater part of the country as well as delivery of certain product categories to Estonia.

"The e-commerce warehouse is a state-of-the-art example of efficient logistics. It enables us to fulfill our customers' requests quicker and to provide a broader service offering, strengthening and expanding our number one market position in Finland", said Gustavo Möller-Hergt, CEO of ALSO Holding. B2B customers such as Etailers benefit from innovative handling processes and flexibility. On behalf of its customers, ALSO offers to deliver directly from the warehouse all the way to their customers even in small packages. The warehouse spans 17,000 sqm of space amounting to the size of approximately two football fields. It will consume around 50 percent less energy per sqm and operative costs will decrease by approximately 25% compared to ALSO's previous warehouse. 60 jobs will be transferred from the original location to the new warehouse. In its pan-European logistics network with almost 300,000 square meters ALSO processes up to 14 million packages a year of various sizes, from small USB sticks to large-format printers.

ALSO releases Private Catalogue and Partner Branding in the Cloud Marketplace

ALSO Group strengthens attractiveness of its Cloud Platform by revealing Private Catalogue and Partner Branding as new ground breaking features, available in Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovenia, Sweden and Switzerland from now on.

Partner Branding enables ALSO customers to apply their individual company branding and image to their view of ALSO Cloud Marketplace. ALSO customers get the opportunity to grant their end-customers access to an environment with a familiar look. ALSO releases Private Catalogue and Partner Branding at no extra costs for new and existing customers.
