Swiss IT group Competec has appointed Markus Messerer as head of its B2B business, namely distributor Alltron. Messerer will also take over the position of CEO of Competec's wholesale company Alltron AG and will hold a seat on the management board, which is the top management body of the group. The B2B division was restructured in November 2017 and has been temporarily managed by Martin Lorenz, CEO Group, together with the department and team leaders until Markus Messerer takes up his new position on October, 1st.
"We are convinced that Markus Messerer will be an enormous support in the strategic development of our entire group and will lead our B2B division into new topics", says Martin Lorenz. By this he means topics such as digitisation, cloud and general services as well as new ways in distribution. Markus Messerer holds a PhD in International Management, an Executive Master of Business Administration and a Program for Leadership Development from Harvard Business School. He has many years of experience in the ICT industry, lastly as Head of Corporate Strategy for Swisscom, in charge of corporate strategy, digital transformation and growth strategy.
Competec has filled the vacancy with a person with experience in the strategic management of several industries, thus expanding Alltron's areas of expertise with further perspectives. Markus Messerer was born in Lower Austria in 1981 and lives in Zurich.
