Danish multispecialist EET Europarts has announced the acquisition of French PoS specialist JANIPOS, a distributor targeting primarily the SMB market segment, for an undisclosed amount. JANIPOS has focused on the French and Spanish market for more than 20 years.
“This is a joyful day for both EET Europarts and JANIPOS", says Richard Grégoire, EMEA POS Business Line Director, EET Europarts, and continues: “we are convinced that this acquisition will enable us to enhance our positioning in France and Spain in an area where our customers are demanding more and more competencies and an 'à la carte' type of service. JANIPOS’ brands such as Epson, Honeywell, Bixolon, and Cipherlab are already partners of EET Europarts and on top of that, the acquisition will bring new brands and strengthen our product offering to existing customers. JANIPOS’ customers will now also have access to a much broader range of products in both the POS and AutoID area and in all our other product categories.”
JANIPOS has been an active player on the market for 20 years and has earned a solid expertise in how to advise on projects for the SMB resellers segment, from initial design to deployment. With the acquisition, EET Europarts will take over a dedicated sales and support team and a total of 20 experienced employees.
Commenting on the acquisition, Armand Marcos, chairman of JANIPOS, said: “for the last two decades we have grown the business to the impressive company it is today with a level of service that complemented the world-class manufacturers we represent. We are confident, that this is the right next step for JANIPOS and our exciting customers will benefit from EET Europarts’ well-founded skills and impressive portfolio.”
“We have been very successful in performing acquisitions in the past, and this is the third strategic acquisition this year. We have demonstrated the ability to develop and grow the acquired business activities with our expertise, our business model, and our wide distribution network. With the acquisition of JANIPOS focusing on SMB resellers, we strengthen our position within the POS area significantly”, says Søren Drewsen, CEO at EET Group.
