Atempo, a specialist in solutions for the protection of professional digital assets, has signed a partnership agreement with broadliner Tech Data. This agreement marks a strategic shift in distribution policy for the data protection specialist. From now on, Atempo's solutions will be distributed exclusively through Tech Data as a value-added distributor. The partnership covers the full Atempo portfolio, excluding Wooxo secure backup solutions, that is Atempo software and Synerway hardware.
"Data protection is becoming a priority for corporate management given recent developments in European regulations, the increasing sophistication of cybercrime threats and the growing share of the cloud that is making security management more complex", said Ludivine Patte, Channel Manager EMEA for Atempo. "We want to share the fruits of this growth with our partners and Tech Data has emerged as the right partner to orchestrate the voluntary and aggressive reseller program we have designed."
Tech Data is a multi-specialist distributor in constant evolution. Tech Data is accelerating its transformation to better anticipate customer demands. In addition to the market's richest product catalogue, Tech Data offers a range of solutions and services that the world needs to connect, grow and move forward. For the ninth time, Tech Data France was awarded the Trophy for "Best IT Wholesaler" at the end of 2017.

"In the digital transformation and hybridisation of infrastructures, data migration and security is a strategic element. Atempo, a French publisher, is a key player in this issue. Tech Data intends to accelerate this transformation thanks to the benefits that customers can derive from Atempo, a company that offers guarantees, particularly on security, that no other publisher can offer", said Frédéric Braut, Deputy Managing Director of Tech Data Advanced Solutions.
With this partnership, Atempo aims to accelerate its growth and increase its visibility in the market by making its offers accessible to more than 14,000 reseller partners. The company also aims for international growth. Indeed, this agreement will enable it to deploy in the medium term in Europe and then in the long term on all five continents. The data protection specialist will be able to benefit from this powerful distribution channel, particularly for its Live Navigator and Appliances offers, while strengthening its network of value-added partners to promote its backup and migration offers for large and very large volumes of data, activities in which Atempo has particular expertise. Finally, this partnership will enable Atempo to meet the flow massification needs of its main reseller partners seeking to reduce or outsource their administrative and logistics costs.
"By integrating Atempo software into its catalogue, Tech Data demonstrates the growing interest of its network of resellers in European solutions. The recent promulgation of the Cloud Act in the United States, which significantly strengthens the powers of American supervisory agencies and fuels the general climate of suspicion, is not unrelated to the obvious attention that companies are paying to Atempo's sovereign solutions," concludes Luc d'Urso, Atempo's CEO.
