Ipswitch, an editor of secure file transfer and network management software, has inked a distributor partnership with broadliner Ingram Micro. Channel partners and resellers across the Middle East now have better access to Ipswitch IT management solutions through Ingram Micro's local cyber-security division. “Ipswitch is committed to making our powerful IT management solutions that are delivering 24/7 performance across cloud, virtual and network environments readily available through the Middle East”, said Sébastien Roques, Sales Director EMEA at Ipswitch. “Unrivalled agility, deep market insights and the trust and dependability that come from decades of proven relationships have set Ingram Micro apart and ahead. Working with Ingram Micro will allow Ipswitch IT management solutions to proliferate through the region.” Channel partners and resellers in the Middle East have access to Ipswitch’s MOVEit and WS_FTP for secure file transfer as well WhatsUp® Gold for network monitoring. Through this agreement, Ingram Micro is now authorised to distribute the Ipswitch portfolio in 26 countries across the META, including Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Botswana, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Namibia, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, Turkey, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, Yemen and Zimbabwe. The distribution agreement may be expanded to additional regions in the future.

“We are delighted to sign the agreement with Ipswitch and include new solutions in the portfolio we offer to our partners”, said Mark Kassis, Cyber Security Division Director at Ingram Micro. “Ipswitch will help our partners and customers to complete the panel for data protection of their internal and external use with secure file transfer and sharing as well as data network management.” MOVEit is used by thousands of organisations worldwide to provide security, traceability and control over business critical-file transfer activities. Earlier this year, MOVEit 2018 was released, addressing the need for enhanced security when enterprise file sharing involves sensitive data. MOVEit 2018 features a Secure Folder Sharing capability and easy-to-use desktop client, allowing IT groups to extend the adoption of secure managed file transfer to a broad base of end users through a convenient, easy-to-use file sharing and collaboration capability that assures data security, visibility and audit trails. Thousands of IT teams depend on Ipswitch’s WS_FTP Server software for the unique business-grade features required to assure reliable and secure transfer of critical data. WS_FTP Server is available in three editions – Basic, Secure and Premium – specifically designed with customers’ budgetary and security needs in mind. WS_FTP Server delivers flexibility to create a more efficient and customised file transfer process for specific organisational needs. WhatsUp Gold 2018 was released earlier this year with major enhancements, including performance monitoring of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure cloud deployments, Meraki cloud managed wireless systems and Dell Compellent storage devices. Ipswitch’s customers now have an at-a-glance dashboard and an interactive map for visibility into the status and performance of networks, servers, storage devices and applications across on-premises and cloud with a single network interface.
