Romanian security editor Bitdefender has signed a distribution agreement with network and security VAD Abbakan. As part of this agreement, Abbakan will distribute Bitdefender's entire range of business solutions. This includes GravityZone's endpoint, data center and hybrid cloud protection solutions, as well as its latest network security solution launched in early 2019, Bitdefender Network Traffic Security Analytics.

The technological approach and innovations brought by Bitdefender to the market have been of particular interest to Abbakan's teams, who see in the brand enormous commercial potential, especially in the data center market. Indeed, Bitdefender has a significant lead in the protection of virtualized environments, thanks to technologies developed natively for the cloud and virtualization, but also through close technological partnerships with major market players, such as Nutanix (Bitdefender was elected "AHV Innovator of the Year") or Citrix (with whom Bitdefender developed a revolutionary security solution for the protection of virtual machines from the hypervisor).
In addition, at the beginning of 2019, Bitdefender announced its first network security solution, Bitdefender Traffic Security Networks Analytics, which allows real-time detection of security breaches and complete visibility of threats. This solution is added to the Bitdefender catalogue following the acquisition, at the end of 2018, of the Dutch company RedSocks, which specialises in network security based on behavioural analysis.
