Splunk Leaves the Russian Market

Douglas Merritt, CEO of Splunk

Data analytics vendor Splunk has decided to no longer sell software and services to organisations headquartered in Russia - either directly or through partners. This includes opportunities with technical partners, resellers, distributors and vendors. It also applies to businesses with subsidiaries based in countries outside of Russia whose parent company is in Russia. Therefore, Splunk has ended its partnership with Russian VAD RRC, which was its local distributor, as well as all of its remaining subsidiaries abroad (that is, in Azerbaijan, Belarus and Kazakhstan), RRC having sold its Eastern European offices to Ingram Micro while its Ukrainian office has seemingly severed its links with them, because of the war waged by Russia in the country.

Splunk will continue to fulfill customer support obligations for products and services rendered through the life of the contract, but we will no longer be taking expansion or renewal orders. Splunk will continue to evaluate our global investments - focusing our global resources to ensure the greatest return on investment for the business, and the greatest success for our customers.
